Last week we gave you a contact strategy for your job search. (You can view it here: http://www.challengergray.com/press/blog/job-search-monday-creating-cont…) Today, we want you to schedule meetings with four new people a day! It may seem like a lofty goal, but the more people you meet, the more likely someone will know someone who can make a decision to hire you.

Go through your contact list. These meetings do not necessarily need to be with people who are in your field. They could be friends who work in other industries, acquaintances from your previous jobs, or employed family members or neighbors.

Make it clear in the invitation that this is a networking meeting. You do not expect them to get you a job, but you want to hear about their careers and discuss strategies for your own. You can gain valuable insights from your network, as well as get referrals on new people with which to meet.

Stay positive, upbeat, and open to learning. Happy hunting!
