Sandi is Challenger’s Executive Vice President located in the Dallas area and responsible for the Southwest. She was recognized for her exceptional performance at Challenger’s All-Company Conference in September.
Sandi brings extensive knowledge in all aspects of human resources, including mergers and acquisitions, HR strategy, organizational development, staffing, compensation, benefits, training, relocation and labor relations. Sandi has an impressive leadership background, having held the top human resources executive positions in 5 companies in a wide range of industries, including healthcare, retail and manufacturing. Early in her career she gained valuable international experience in the telecommunications industry. Sandi has chaired the operations committee for several companies. As a senior officer, her dynamic leadership style and business approach was an integral part of a company’s growth from $200 million to $1 billion in three years.
Sandi’s leadership and drive are also evident in professional associations and non-profits where she is past President of the Board of Directors for the Family Place, President of the Dallas HR organization and has served as Executive Director of the HR Southwest Conference. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Children’s Theater and is a former Board and Executive Committee member for the Sci-Tech Discovery Center, Dallas Shakespeare in the Park and the North Texas Exes Alumni Group. She has also been involved in the Dallas Military Ball Foundation, an organization assisting families of our service men and women. She volunteers at St Andrew United Methodist Church Career Care, a ministry helping those in job transition. Sandi has been recognized by the State of Texas House of Representatives for her outstanding community service work including “donating her time and talents to help those in need to make the Dallas area an even better place to live”. She is a radio personality and frequent speaker on many topics including servant leadership, strategic Human Resource issues and the keys to successful career transition.
Ms. Stevens graduated first in her class with an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University and earned her B.B.A. in Human Resources from the University of North Texas graduating Magna Cum Laude. Sandi resides in Dallas with her fourteen year old daughter.
