Last week, Challenger, Gray & Christmas, Inc. SVPs, Andy Challenger and Pete Tzavalas attended the annual National Human Resources Association Los Angeles Chapter (NHRA-LA), Executive of the Year Awards Gala. The NHRA-LA has honored human resources professionals for almost a decade for their exemplary leadership and commitment to their organizations.
The Executive of the Year Awards Gala, held at the Skirball Cultural Center on September 21, 2023, recognized the HR community in Los Angeles. One winner was chosen from three finalists.
The Human Resource Executive of the Year award was created to recognize exceptional leaders in the human resource community who bring innovation, inspiration, and operational excellence to their organizations. Award recipients are chosen based on their success in exhibiting excellence in their field, adhering to professional standards, and their role in positioning human resources as a strategic management partner within their organization.
The NHRA-LA Board and Selection committee administer, facilitate, and provide the 360-assessment and final selection process. Pete Tzavalas, Challenger’s own, has been a board member since 2010 and has been instrumental in helping to select and promote deserving candidates who have made significant contributions to their organizations and their communities.
